“This is a president adrift, confused and entirely over his head. He has, in essence, confirmed what his harshest critics have long been arguing: he is incompetent and unknowledgable about how the world operates. And we have three more years left of this.”

Those rights of citizenship are guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Obedience to the laws and regulations guarantee not only freedom and liberty but also protection from unlawful and potential oppression by a ruling government. In 500 words or less, discuss how the Bill of Rights today protects individual citizens of the United States from an ever growing government with a multiplicity of agencies armed with technological resources that can be invasive to our individual freedoms.

Madison County, Idaho Caucus Results
Boise, Idaho – The Idaho Republican Party announced its Caucus results, with Mitt Romney declared the winner of the 2012 Idaho Republican Party Presidential Caucus. By winning over 50 percent of the counties’ proportion of delegates, Mitt Romney will therefore receive all of Idaho’s 32 delegates to the Republican National Convention. Across the state, over 44,000 enthusiastic Idaho Republicans made history by participating in the first ever Idaho Republican Party Presidential Caucus.
“I congratulate Mitt Romney on his victory in the Idaho Republican Party’s first ever Presidential Caucus,” stated Chairman Norm Semanko. Semanko continued, “For the first time in many years, Idaho Republicans played a key role in the Republican Presidential nomination process, and we look forward to making Barack Obama a one-term President.”
The county delegate results with 100% of counties reporting are as follows:
Mitt Romney: 25
Rick Santorum: 4
Ron Paul: 3
Newt Gingrich: 0
Buddy Roemer: 0
Total Delegates: 32
Note: Due to Article VI, Section 5 of the Rules of the Idaho Republican Party pertaining to Apportionment and Selection of Delegates to the Republican National Convention, once certified, Mitt Romney will receive all of Idaho’s 32 delegates.
The Madison County Republican Party would like to thank all 100 volunteers and our county clerk and staff who came to help the night of our first caucus in Madison County. And we would like to thank all the businesses who donated prizes for our raffle and the sponsors who donated money to help defray the cost. It was a community effort!
Voter turnout was way beyond what we had expected due to weather conditions and earlier registration numbers. A surprising additional 697 people came early to register as first-time voters in Madison County and several hundred others came to join the Republican Party so they could participate in the caucus event. Almost 3,000 citizens voted and about 4,000 people were in attendance. With last minute challenges, longer than expected lines, we were pleasantly surprised with the citizens who were energized, enthusiastic, polite and patient with us! We closed the doors at 7:15 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m. to allow as many people as possible to enter the building so they could sign in and participate.
We began our meeting just before 7:30 p.m. and the entire meeting and voting process and results were completed by 8:30 p.m. That could not have happened without the help of our 100 volunteers, our staff, central committee members and patient voters! Again, thank you! We hope your enthusiasm continues as you plan to study the candidates who are running for federal, state, county and precinct offices in the upcoming Republican Primary, May 15th. Everyone will vote at the designated polling places in their precinct districts. For more information continue to visit: www.madisonidahogop.com
